Is it possible that having something to hold onto while you are walking would make you feel better?
I was trying to think of possibilities while I was reading… like when you have a stroller to push, it’s something to hold on to, a barrier between you and the world- plus the advantage of keeping you tethered to the earth’s surface. A walker is a bridge too far (although I wondered about a walking stick, those are common enough).
You know... you are such a skillful writer than I’m often confused whether or not I should be laughing at the dilemmas you share with us. On the one hand I know they are serious and I fell for you deeply, on the other hand you are so good at making it “funny”. Anyway.... I’m very interested to hear more about this EMDR. xoxo
If I lived anywhere near, I would totally join you for a walk. Alas...
I have a friend who is a therapist who speaks highly of EMDR. I know nothing about it on a personal level, but I hope it is helpful to you and kudos to you for being aware and acknowledging your fears and concerns about being a shut-in. That's half the battle!
In which I resist becoming a shut-in
I love that image. ❤️
I even thought about one of those pet strollers- bring the dog along! Companionship and something to hold onto.

Ugh, so sorry to hear. Sounds awful. Am sure is awful. I live in the Hudson Valley! I like walking! Maybe we can meet up sometime. xo
